Talk title: Cooperation is the Key

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, at TEDxNeumann. My name is Hussein Al-Mahmoudi, CEO of the Sharjah Research and Technology Park. We are very proud about our partnership with John von Neumann University, which bear the fruit of collaboration on many level, whether we are talking about entrepreneurship, education, and share of best practice.

Our work on the Megalux solarcar is just one example of the amazing activities we joint-hand together to launch. Today at the park here in Sharjah, we are a regional-leading technology park that promotes amazing innovation ecosystem, great talent, entrepreneurs, and scientists, as well as promoting technologies, intellectual properties, and commercialization with technologies.

We are very excited about our collaboration with this great institution of Neumann. This year, we will host COP28 in the UAE. It's a global gathering for the best of mind, investors, government official to discuss sustainability, climate change. I believe the work that your university is doing sits in the heart of this topic. Together, we have a plan to promote your innovations, whether we're talking about the Megalux solar car or the hydrogen activities, storage that you are at the moment experiencing or spending at your labs in Hungary. Our work here at the park is to promote entrepreneurship and to promote innovation throughout our region.

Our park is a platform to enforce the triple helix - the collaboration between academia, government, private sectors, and non-for-profit organisation with the aim of creating new opportunities and new businesses for everyone.

Our focus areas are expanding. We are proud to have one of the largest additive manufacturing and 3D technologies in the region based here in the park. We are proud to have one of the largest transport and logistics innovation ecosystem here in the park. We are testing next-generation trains, electrical bikes, solar cars like yours, and other innovations. We have focus on water technology, we are focused on energy and sustainability, and we are focused on digitization. Here I'm very proud to share with you also the news that we have now just launched the super computing facilities at the park, which is there's only 26 of them globally. This super computing facility will allow scientists, entrepreneurs, partners like yours to expand their research and computing power. Our relationship with your university is key for us. I'm very proud of this relationship because it's one of the best relationship we have so far. This is due to your leadership vision, to your leadership commitment and professionalism and collaboration.
 

We look forward to cementing our relationship with Hungary. We look forward to cementing our relationship at the park with your university. We look forward also to promoting this opportunity and create businesses for your university, for your startups, for your scientists, for your students as well.

I wish you all the best in this conference. I wish I was with you. Unfortunately, because of the amount of commitments we have here, I could not make it. But I'm really excited to visit again and bring a delegation with me to see best practices and to learn from the amazing work that you are doing in your university.
