In our everyday lives, we use artificial intelligence and software based on it every day, whether it's a simple Google search for Sunday lunch, recolouring and perfecting a photo before publishing it, or choosing a movie night based on a recommendation from a streaming service.
We may not be aware of it, but for years artificial intelligence has pervaded our lives, and we can live with it and its missteps.
At the same time, when we become aware that we are dealing with an AI, we suddenly feel distrust and fear, whether it is a self-driving taxi in everyday life or a decision-making system in industrial applications.
Why is there this ambivalence about this technology, and how does the risk of using AI compare with the risk of using traditional technologies?
